The role with us

As a Marketing Research and Insights Specialist, your role is pivotal to supporting the definition and development of customer, market, competitor and commercial insights that shape and support Telstra’s go to market strategy and implementation, as well as customer value propositions, campaign developments and executions.

What you’ll work on

In your role, you leverage primary and secondary research to analyse and report customer needs, market trends and opportunities. Your ability to turn qualitative and quantitative data

into actionable insights and translate complex concepts into a compelling story is key to helping shape Telstra’s go-to-market strategy and execution approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in customer data analysis (e.g. utilising SAS, SQL) and use data storytelling to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders across Telstra

• Actively contribute to Telstra’s go-to-market and overall enterprise strategy by integrating internal and external market research results and preparing materials that synthesises data and draws conclusions

• Collaborate with analyst firms and external research providers to support end-to-end primary and

secondary market research activities that inform and steer Telstra’s key marketing and growth projects

• Leverage expertise in analytics and data science and work with team members to build, QA, and deploy data that have a significant degree of impact to Telstra’s marketing campaigns and communications.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing to components of sales, win/loss reviews and campaign post-implementation reviews, including addressing opportunities toenhance existing processes, products and systems

• Gather data on complex business/technical problems and escalate unanticipated variations for approval to Marketing Research and Insights Senior Specialists

• Partner with Marketing Research and Insights Senior Specialists to develop a research and analytical plan that delivers compelling insights

About you

To be successful in the role, you'll have:

  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Effective communication skills
  • Experience in SQL, Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge on Market Research (primary and secondary research)
  • Problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management

Remuneration Range: $73,350 - $122,800
